Opportunities to serve

The Agape Refugee Project is an outreach ministry of the Omonia Church which was established to meet the needs of the refugee crisis in Athens, Greece. From small beginnings in 2015 to date, we have served 3000+ refugees with God’s continuous help and direction. We do this by providing for refugee’s emotional, physical and spiritual needs through the following range of activities:

Teaching

Join us teaching English! We have an informal class for refugees who want to learn English. We also have opportunities to teach students on a one-to-one basis.

Children's work

Do you have a heart for children, are you patient and kind? Then you can make a difference in the lives of the younger members of our community. Whether it’s soothing a baby, creative play with toddlers or boisterous activities with our older children – we have a role for you!

Theology graduates

Are you a theology graduate? Have you heard the call to go and make disciples of all nations? We have many new Christians and seekers from all nations (almost!)  here at Omonia! Occasionally we have teaching opportunities for theology graduates to teach our discipleship programme. Contact us to find out more.

Servant heartS Required

Do you have a servant heart? We need practical folk with servant hearts to help with the day-to-day running of the ministry. This may be prepping food, cleaning, serving in our clothing store, or assisting with administration or maintenance work.

Check out our volunteer info page for more details if any of the above interests you. We look forward to hearing from you!

What our Volunteers Say

One of the reasons I come every year to serve is that Omonia provides a place of safety and community for those who have been without either of those luxuries for a long time. All who come to Omonia Church know the love of God through the hands of Mama Eleni. Being a part of what God is doing gives me great joy.
